Being able to play whilst in hospital provides children with a sense of control. It distracts them from procedures they may be undergoing, and helps to normalize an unusual environment. This is all conducive to healing, and is the reason that Raising Smiles are asking for as much support as people can give, so that we can provide the toys and games that these children need during a difficult time in their young lives.
